Aleksandra Słyż

Aleksandra Słyż is a Polish composer, sound designer and sound engineer, member of We are Europe and SHAPE+ platform.

Throughout her recent live performances, Słyż has been exploring connections between acoustic instruments and modular synthesizers, creating rich and diverse drone structures which highlight the power of microtonality’s resonances and tensions.

Interactive sonification systems are another large part of her artistic practice. Between 2017-2022 Słyż conducted artistic researches, which applied practical experiments on movement sonification and different types of interaction.



Her works have been presented at various music & film festivals in Europe and USA, including Avant Art Festival (Wrocław), Between Festival (Stokholm), CTM Festival (Berlin), Idealistic Festival (Copenhagen), Kyiv Music Fest, NODE Festival (Modena), ORF musikprotokoll (Graz), OSA Festival (Sopot), Rewire Festival (Haga) or Unsound (Kraków).
